Styled like a comedy show, Mike Lemme's play is dedicated to young mothers whose mental health is often disregarded by society.

Edinburgh Fringe favorite solo show Before The Drugs Kick In has announced a third extension. After transferring from Manhattan's UNDER St. Marks to Long Island City's Court Square Theater, the show will now return to Manhattan for eight performances at TheaterLab. Beginning March 15, the show will play every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through March 30.

Before The Drugs Kick In is written, directed, and produced by Mike Lemme. The creative team also includes movement director Mandy Gordon.

Maria DeCotis stars as a woman named Lynn T. Walsh, speaking from an insane asylum, about how she felt abandoned by her family after attempting to take her own life, and how society abandons women after they're no longer deemed useful.
