On the day of the first Presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump, Avenue Q rolled out their puppet version of the candidates for a town hall style debate at New World Stages.

The now-classic show began its life Off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre where it ran for 72 performances. It moved to Broadway and was the 2004 Tony winner for Best musical. After a six-year run, it transitioned back Off-Broadway to New World stages, where it still plays today. Music and lyrics are by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book is by Jeff Whitty.
