Adam Gopnik's New York will play a second engagement at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater October 17-26. The solo show played a sold-out run at the venue earlier this year.

Produced by Steve Martin and James L. Nederlander, the solo show sees the New Yorker writer tackling his beloved hometown, "its mischief and its meaning, spinning tales that shimmer with insight and charm," according to press notes.

A best-selling author, Gopnik has regularly contributed to The New Yorker since 1986, with pieces including short stories, book reviews, humor, criticism, personal essays, profiles, and more. He's also no stranger to the stage, having written the book and lyrics to Our Table with composer David Shire and the libretto to a Nico Muhly oratorio titled Sentences. He's currently developing a musical Fairy Tale with songwriter Andrew Lippa and director Nicholas Hytner, and an Eleanor of Aquitaine-centered musical Troubadour with Shire.

Tickets are available at AdamGopnikNewYork.com.
