Performances will begin July 16 at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre, with an official opening night slated for July 18.
The play debuted in New York in 2013 at the Workshop Theatre; however, the company is completely re-staging the work. Helmed once again by Joan Kane, the play offers a cautionary message for modern-day social media users, addressing the important question of whether we can ever rid ourselves of incriminating content on the internet.
The cast features Olivia Scott, Lué McWilliams, Alex Esola, Kelsey Wang, Charlotte Frøyland, Alexander Nifong and Jesse Shane Bronstein. Also appearing are Molly Collier, Lori Lusted, Joshua Spencer, Meghan St. Thomas and Phoebe Torres.
The production features scenic design by David Goldstein, costumes by Caitlin Cisek, lights by Dennis Parichy, sound by Andy Evan Cohen and projections by Jim Marlow. The stage manager is Tyler Winthrop.
Jackson’s play Safe won Outstanding Playwriting of a New Script at the Planet Connections Theater Festivity at the Bleecker Street Theater in 2012 and was also produced at 59e59 Theatre and at the Edinburgh Fringe at the Space/North Bridge Theater in August 2013. The Lion Theatre is located at 410 West 42nd St. For more information visit EgoActus and to purchase tickets visit TeleCharge or call (800) 432-7250.
