With a book by Tony and Oscar nominee Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, and choreography by Josh Prince, Beautiful features an array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil.
Beautiful opened on Broadway January 12, 2014, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where it holds the record for the playhouse's longest-running show. Original title player Jessie Mueller, sister to the musical's current star, won a Tony for her performance.
