The first trailer has been released for Pose, the new dance musical series from Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy about intersecting segments of New York City society in the late 1980s, highlighting the golden age of New York City’s LGBTQ ball culture scene.
Pose premieres June 3 at 9 PM on FX.
The landmark series is making history with a cast including five transgender actors of color as series regulars—the highest number on television yet for a scripted series. Among the history-making actors are a number of theatre artists, including MJ Rodriguez (Street Children), Dominique Jackson (Incongruence), and Hailie Sahar (Charm), as well as Indya Moore and Angelica Ross. Also cast are newcomers Ryan Jamaal Swain and Dyllon Burnside.
