The resistance is in full swing as Audra McDonald ponders the 2020 election and Christine Baranski throws an axe and cocks a gun—set to some Mozart—in the first trailer for The Good Fight’s third season. The series, a spinoff of CBS’ long-running The Good Wife, returns to CBS All Access March 14.
In the new season, Baranski’s Diane Lockhart fights to maintain her sanity during the Trump administration as Liz (McDonald) and Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) contemplate the next steps of their firm and Lucca (Broadway alum Cush Jumbo) welcomes a baby and potential new love into her life. Enter Roland Bloom (played by new series regular and Broadway alum Michael Sheen), a Machiavellian, Roy Cohn-esque lawyer whose tactics don’t adhere to the standard playbook.
The series frequently features Broadway veterans; in addition to Baranski and McDonald, look out for fellow Tony winner Andrea Martin and Sarah Steele in the trailer.
