Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane Sing Little Shop's ‘Suddenly Seymour’ on Carpool Karaoke | Playbill

Stage to Page Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane Sing Little Shop's ‘Suddenly Seymour’ on Carpool Karaoke The two stars sing the musical theatre standard on the Apple Music series.

Based on the viral sketch from The Late Late Show host and Tony winner James Corden, Apple Music has launched a full 20-episode series of Carpool Karaoke: The Series.

The August 22 episode, released on Apple Music, features pop sensation Ariana Grande and actor (and former Oscar host) Seth MacFarlane. In the video above, the duo sings “Suddenly Seymour” from Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman's Little Shop of Horrors. Watch as the two take on the classic roles of Seymour and Audrey.

Unlike the segments on the late-night talk show, Corden will not regularly host the show. (He does host two episodes and appear in small cameos in a few others.) Instead, the show is hostless and focuses on multiple stars singing while driving together.

Grande began her career in theatre, performing in Jason Robert Brown’s 13 on Broadway. Last year, she played Penny Pingleton in the NBC live television musical event Hairspray Live! MacFarlane is most known for his television career, although he frequently incorporates musical theatre standards in his series (including Family Guy) and studio albums.
