The Waldorf Theatre opened in 1926 at 116 W. 50th Street. The theatre presented dancer Will Mahoney in the musical Take the Air, its most successful production. Located on the same block as the Roxy and Radio City Music Hall, the Waldorf Theatre could not compete, and it was demolished in the late 1960s.
