Jolson’s 59th Street Theatre opened in 1921 at 932 Seventh Avenue. Two years later, Constantin Stanislavsky’s Moscow Art Theatre visited Jolson’s with productions including The Cherry Orchard, Three Sisters, and The Brothers Karamazov. Jolson’s 59th Street Theatre was demolished, as the New Century, in 1962.
