Arthur Hammerstein produced Hammerstein’s Theatre in 1927. The theatre housed the professional debut of Cary Grant (then named Archie Leach), in Golden Dawn, and the last Broadway performance of W.C. Fields, in Ballyhoo. It currently stands as the Ed Sullivan Theatre.
