DESCRIPTION
Casting "The Man in the Iron Mask", a two-act musical drama in the genre of historical fiction, based on the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas and three popular movie adaptations. Set during the reign of King Louis XIV, the aging Three Musketeers uncover the existence of the King’s secret twin and risk everything to replace the tyrant monarch with the brother he has kept imprisoned for life. Some comparable works are: The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Oliver!, and Camelot.
The workshop day will consist of reading for the characters, listening to music, and providing feedback. There will be recordings of the music used for the event, so being a vocalist is not required to act a part.
Runs July 18 (10:30 a.m.-7 p.m.) at the Warner Theatre in Torrington, CT.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. There will also be an opportunity to take a lunch break.
