Performers of all ethnicities, physical types, gender identities, and ages are encouraged to audition.

All roles will be understudied.

There are no Equity stage managerial positions available.

Please prepare a short song in the style of the show. Singing from the show is fine.

WEST SIDE STORY

Story about the members of the gangs and their girlfriends (Jets and Sharks) The Sharks are a gang of Puerto Rican teens. Latino actors are encouraged to audition.

SEEKING:

Maria: 18+ to play teenager. Lovely young Puerto Rican girl, excited and enthusiastic about her new life in America. Strong soprano. Sister to Bernardo

Tony: 18+ to play teenager. Handsome, older teen-ager, who has outgrown the Jets and is looking for something more; Strong baritone/tenor.

Riff: 18+ to play teenager. Charismatic, intelligent, streetwise, leader of the Jets; Tenor. A strong dancer.

Anita: 18+ to play teenager. Worldly, flashy, sharp-tongued, Puerto Rican girl with a knowing sexuality; Alto/mezzo-sop A strong dancer. Girlfriend to Bernardo

Bernardo: 18+ to play teenager. Handsome, proud Puerto Rican, leader of the Sharks, with a sardonic chip on his shoulder; Baritone. A strong dancer.

Doc, Officer Krupke. Lt. Shrank, Glad Hand: Older character men.
