PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Uptown is a high-energy tribute to Motown, classic soul, and contemporary R&B, featuring three front men backed by tracks and live musicians. The show tours performing arts centers across the U.S., high-end private events, and select cruise ship contracts.

We are building our 2026 core company and swings of elite triple-threat performers who can sing lead, blend in tight harmony, and deliver polished commercial movement with charisma and stamina.

SEEKING

Black and mixed-race male-presenting performers, ages 25–35

• Tenor or high baritone R&B vocals

• Strong lead voice with excellent blend in group harmonies

• Confident with riffs, ad-libs, and stylistic interpretation

• Strong movers with polished commercial / concert-style choreography

• Athletic, dynamic, high-energy stage presence

• Professional, reliable, and comfortable with travel

• High falsetto is a major plus

We are looking for ultimate triple threats who can front a show, support other leads, and hold tight musical and visual precision as a unit.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Performance opportunities include:

  • National touring dates (performing arts centers, theaters)

  • High-end private and corporate events

  • Cruise ship performance contracts

• Paid rehearsals and performances

• Travel and accommodations provided for touring and cruise contracts

• Contracts begin rolling in early 2026 and continue throughout the 2026 season

AUDITION INFORMATION (JAN 8)

Format:

• In-person, appointment only

• Small-group movement / staging

• Individual vocal moments with harmony work

Selected performers will receive:

• Confirmed audition time and call details

• Vocal and choreography prep materials in advance

• Location and check-in instructions
