DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hair and Makeup Artist who is able to additionally perform Assistant Tour Manager duties for an A-level Touring Artist.

This role will be initially structured as a short term/fill in engagement. The position offers the opportunity for extended contract work as the tour move into a high-volume cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to Day Operational Duties
  • Artist Support
  • Providing personal support for the Artist.
    • Providing hair styling and maintenance including but not limited to:
      • Style and maintain hair for various looks and needs.
      • Demonstrate proficiency in roller setting and styling hair from reference pictures or Artist as directed.
      • Apply standard makeup to Artist as directed.
      • Ensure proper care, management, and maintenance and organization of all makeup related tools and products.
      • Assist in the maintenance of wardrobe items including but not limited to steaming, sending out for dry cleaning, and spot cleaning.
    • Support Artist in VIP Meet & Greet as directed by the Tour Manager.
    • Coordinating and accompanying artist to and from key locations safely.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight of all artist commitments while on tour, such as press engagements, media appearances, and social media coordination as necessary.

• • Assistant Tour Manager Support
    • Coordinating with local venue runner to:
      • Collect and manager crew members’ dinner orders.
      • Maintain and stock tour bus inventory.
  • Show Execution
    • Act as main video switch operator and caller for the performance.
      • Training provided for this job function.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Touring experience (3-5 years preferred).

· Proven experience in live event production, with a strong background with touring.

· Cosmetology license preferred.

· Expertise in professional hair styling for Artist.

· Proficiency in maintaining and managing professional grade hair styling tools and products.

· High degree of professionalism and discretion when dealing with artist and confidential information.

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

· Strong problem solver with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

· Cosmetology license preferred.

• Ability to maintain a positive and safe work environment.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Valid Driver's License required with clean driving record.

· Valid Passport with no border issues.

· Background check required.

Higher consideration will be given to candidates with several years of touring experience, specifically with high profile talent.

Travel, accommodations, and per diem included.

Compensation Range: $2250 - $2750 per week

SALARY

$2,250.00 – $2,750.00 per week
