Please prepare for the Musicals a song of choice based on the shows being done. For SYLVIA, please prepare a monologue of your choice in a comic style.

Note: The characters of Phyllis, Tom, and Leslie will be played by the same actor. the role of Sylvia is currently cast, but we are considering backups at this time.
SEEKING:
SYLVIA: CAST, but we are considering backups at this time. (20-35) Female - A dog, maybe a Labradoodle. Street smart and a little flirtatious, she commands every room she enters. The role is physically demanding. Sylvia will walk as a person but will act like a dog, e.g. “sitting”, “rolling over” and climbing on furniture.
GREG: (45-65) Male - A middle-aged, empty-nester and finance professional who is looking for more meaning in his life. He finds and bonds deeply with Sylvia.
KATE: (45-65) Female - Greg's wife, a public-school English teacher who is less enthusiastic about Sylvia and is looking forward to newfound independence as her children leave home.
TOM (Any age) Male - A man Greg meets at the dog park who offers advice.
PHYLISS: (45-65) Female - A socialite and old school friend of Kate’s. She is put off by Sylvia, to say the least.
LESLIE: (35-60) Non-Binary - A gender-non-conforming marriage counselor whom Greg and Kate consult.

AL: Accomplished dancer who sings. Tough, streetwise and overtly masculine. Married to Kristine. Mid-late 20s.
CASSIE: “Star” dancer who sings extremely well. Dynamic and charismatic. Early 30s. Soprano.
SHEILA: Seasoned performer who dances well. Beautiful showgirl with a killer body and an even more killer wit. Early 30s. Alto.
VAL: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Has a veneer of hometown charm but underneath, is smart, sassy, and immensely sure of herself. Mid 20s. Mezzo
DIANA: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Hispanic. Warm, energetic, and extremely likeable. Earthy and optimistic. Mid 20s. Mezzo.
JUDY: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Decidedly offbeat, with charming awkwardness. Mid 20s. Soprano.
BEBE: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Natural and unaffected. Green yet confident. Mid 20s.Mezzo.
KRISTINE: Accomplished dancer who sings. Quirky, comedic sensibility. Exhibits an extreme amount of nervous, insecure energy. Married to Al. Mid 20s. Alto.
MAGGIE: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Likeable, vulnerable girl next door. Soprano with a solid mix/belt.
CONNIE: An excellent dancer who sings well. Asian and ageless. Petite, very confident with a sense of humor. 5 feet tall or less. Mid 20s to Mid 30s.
ZACH: Dynamic and charismatic director/choreographer of a Broadway show. Convincingly dances
alongside Broadway dancers. Mid 30s to Mid 40s.
LARRY: Zach’s assistant. Excellent dancer that commands the room with authority. Zach’s example of expertise and precision. 20s–late 30s.
MIKE: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Athletic and masculine with a streetwise charm. Must tap extremely well. Tumbling skills a plus.
RICHIE: Accomplished dancer who sings well. Black. Extremely energetic, athletic. Mid 20s. Tenor.
DON: An accomplished professional who dances and sings well. He displays a positive yet realistic approach to his career. Late 20s to Mid 30s.
PAUL: Dances well. Latin. Physically slight and sensitive with a natural grace, displays vulnerability and depth. Mid 20s-30s. Tenor.
MARK: Excellent dancer who sings well. Boyish and likeable. 18 to early 20s.

DANNY ZUKO: 18+ to play high school age. The leader of the “Burger Palace Boys.” Well-built, nicelooking, with an air of cool easygoing charm. Strong and confident.
SANDY DUMBROWSKI: 18+ to play high school age. Danny’s love interest. Sweet, wholesome, naïve, cute, like Sandra Dee of the “Gidget” movies.
KENICKIE: 18+ to play high school age. Second-in-command of the Burger Palace Boys. Toughlooking, tattooed, surly, avoids any show of softness. Has an off-beat sense of humor.
DOODY: 18+ to play high school age. Youngest of the Burger Palace guys. He’s charming with a disarming smile and a hero-worshipping attitude toward the other guys. Guitar a plus.
ROGER: 18+ to play high school age. The “anything-for-a-laugh” type full of mischief, half-baked schemes and ideas. He’s a clown who enjoys putting other people on.
SONNY LATIERRI: 18+ to play high school age. Italian-looking, with shiny black hair and dark oily skin. A braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he’s a real lady-killer.
BETTY RIZZO: 18+ to play high school age. Leader of the Pink Ladies. She is tough, sarcastic and outspoken but vulnerable. Italian, with unconventional good looks.
FRENCHY: 18+ to play high school age. The dreamer of the Pink Ladies. She’s good-natured, but not the brightest. Heavily made-up, fussy about her appearance—particularly her hair. She can’t wait to finish high school so she can be a beautician.
MARTY: 18+ to play high school age. The “beauty” of the Pink Ladies. Pretty, looks older than the other girls, but betrays her real age when she opens her mouth. Tries to act sophisticated.
JAN: 18+ to play high school age. Comedienne of the Pink Ladies. She’s loud and pushy with the girls but shy with boys. She’s a little over-weight.
PATTY SIMCOX: 18+ to play high school age. A typical cheerleader at a middle-class American public high school. She’s attractive and athletic, aggressive and sure of herself, given to bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm. She’s also catty, but in an All-American Girl sort of way. She can also twirl a baton.
EUGENE FLORCZYK: 18+ to play high school age. The class valedictorian. Physically awkward, with weak eyes and a high-pitched voice. An apple-polisher, smug and pompous but gullible.
VINCE FONTAINE: Late 20s-30s. A typical “teen audience” radio disc jockey. Slick, egotistical, fasttalking. A veteran “greaser.”
TEEN ANGEL: Timeless. A good-looking falsetto voiced, Fabian-look-alike. A singer who would have caused girls to scream and riot back in 1958.
MISS LYNCH: 40s-50s. A no-nonsense, serious, loud, English teacher
CHA-CHA DIGREGORIO: 18+ to play high school age. A Blind date. She’s outspoken, flirtatious with unconventional good looks. Takes pride in being “the best dancer at St. Bernadette’s.”
JOHNNY CASINO: 18+ to play high school age. A “greaser” student at Rydell who leads a rock ‘n’ roll band and likes to think of himself as a real rock ‘n’ roll idol.
