THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL
SEEKING:
CARRIE WATTS: CAST The character is female. Any ethnicity (60-75) An elderly woman who wants to return to her hometown of Bountiful, Texas before she dies.
LUDIE WATTS: The character is male. Any ethnicity (35-45) Carrie's son who is caught between his mother and his wife.
JESSIE MAE WATTS: The character is female. Any ethnicity. (35-45) Ludie's wife who resents her husband's tie to his mother.
THELMA: The character is female: Any ethnicity. (20-30) Carrie's new friend who encounters Carrie on the bus while she is escaping from Ludie and Jessie Mae.
ROY: The character is male. Any ethnicity. (50-60) A ticket taker in Harrison, Texas.
SHERRIFF: The character is male. Any ethnicity. (50-60): A sympathetic white Texas sheriff who chauffeurs Mrs. Watts to an abandoned house.
HOUSTON TICKET TAKERS: The characters are males and females. All ethnicities. (25-45) Two ticket takers who are patient with Carrie but are still bureaucrats.
TRAVELERS/BUS STATION EMPLOYEES: The characters are males and females. All ethnicities. (25-55) Non-speaking roles that may understudy principal roles.
