Sockz Studio is seeking a strong female singer/voiceover artist to provide vocals for a creative short film project. The role requires a singer who can learn and interpret music with precision, and can bring a dynamic vocal performance to an original song in the style of a 60’s girl group.
Role Requirements:
-Strong vocalist capable of *vocally* portraying a character in her 20s.
-Local to South Florida and able to travel to Miami for one rehearsal and one recording session.
-Familiarity with the style of 1960s girl groups.
-Recording experience is a plus.
-Comedic sensibility.
-Non-Union.
-One rehearsal and one recording session will take place in December 2024, with dates arranged based on the selected candidate's availability.
Audition Details:
Please submit a resume and a self-tape (or recent video) featuring approximately 32 bars of an uptempo song in the style of 1960s girl groups (e.g., Darlene Love, The Ronettes, The Chiffons, The Shirelles), doo-wop, or something from a musical with that genre (e.g., Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors). Auditions can be with a track or a cappella.
