PROJECT DESCRIPTION

"The Ride,” is a Drama Desk-nominated experience that is part tour/part show. Synopsis: "The Ride" takes place on a stadium seated bus (like an indoor theatre) and takes an audience to tourist attractions around midtown NYC (Times Square, Grand Central, Chrysler, Empire, Bryant Park, Radio City, Columbus Circle, Central Park, etc.) while interacting with people along the way. Throughout the show, guests can expect to see 4-7 live performances that are spread across midtown and provide a one-of-a-kind performance on the streets of New York City. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD0DnAiw7hQ

HOSTS/TOUR GUIDES

Must be comfortable entertaining a crowd, able to memorize facts and material, and have positive energy even in stressful situations; experience in improv or comedy is a huge plus; Holiday, evening and weekend availability a must. Holiday season runs 11/14 thru 1/1/2025 with rehearsals scheduled mid-October. Some Fall positions available immediately.

FEMALE VOCALIST / “BROADWAY BABY” CHARACTER ROLE

Looking for female vocalists in pop, musical theatre style for immediate casting into the Fall & Holiday season for BROADWAY BABY position (think Peggy Sawyer/Mille Dillmount type: eager & keen, spunky and modern, BIG energy). Costume provided. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, able to memorize material quickly, take direction well, be positive and charismatic. Ear for harmonies is a plus. Holiday, evening and weekend availability a must. Holiday season runs 11/14 thru 1/1/2025 with rehearsals scheduled mid-October. Some Fall positions available immediately.

GUITARISTS AND GUITARISTS WHO SING

Musicians perform in character as a "Street Busker" with an accompanying vocalists for groups that arrive via The Ride interactive tours. Musicians should be comfortable performing outside, able to memorize material quickly, take direction well, are positive and charismatic. For those who sing, ear for harmonies is a plus. Flexible and semi-set schedules available. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Availability nights and weekends required. Holiday, evening and weekend availability a must. Holiday season runs 11/14 thru 1/1/2025 with rehearsals scheduled mid-October. Some Fall positions available immediately.


FREESTYLE IMPROV RAPPERS
Someone who is comfortable performing an improvised rap; the content must be positive and family-friendly; must also be able to memorize some content, take direction well and experience in improv or comedy is a huge plus; ability to perform in all types of weather. Costumes provided; receive feedback from the creative team, and implement in subsequent performances; reliably arrive on time, and work the duration of shift; Be aware of surroundings, and the unique situations presented with our venue (streets of NYC), Holiday, evening and weekend availability a must.

ULTIMATE TOURIST

Street Performer role located primarily in Times Square. Character dressed as if one of the “I ❤️NY “ stores exploded on them. Performs a 3-min scripted/improv beat for the bus performers as they arrive talking about all the exciting sights and sounds of NYC and does a mock NYE countdown with audience on bus. Flexible and semi-set schedules available. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Availability nights and weekends required.
