DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Theater Company, the award-winning Off-Broadway theater and NAST-accredited acting school, is seeking Teaching Artists, Assistant Teaching Artists, and Camp Counselors for our Summer 2026 Kids & Teens programs.

We are looking for creative, outgoing, collaborative individuals who love working with young people and are excited to support a fun, engaging, and artistically rich camp environment for students ages 5–14.

Our summer programming includes a variety of camps across acting, musical theater, and visual arts, and we are building a dynamic team of artists and educators to support these programs.

Responsibilities include:

•Leading and/or assisting in daily camp activities, rehearsals, and classroom instruction

•Supporting students in creative projects across acting, musical theater, and/or visual arts

•Helping to foster a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment for all campers

•Collaborating with fellow Teaching Artists and staff as part of an ensemble-based team

•Assisting with classroom management, transitions, and daily camp logistics

•Participating in staff meetings and program planning as needed

Qualifications:

•Experience working with children (ages 5–14), preferably in a camp, classroom, or arts education setting

•Background in acting, musical theater, visual arts, or related fields

•Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

•Energetic, flexible, and proactive approach to working with young people

•Interest in arts education and youth development

•Ability to play piano or guitar is a plus

Compensation:

Assistant Teaching Artist and administrative roles start at $18/hour, and Teaching Artist positions start at $40/hour.
