Stacee Jaxx:

Male, late 20s to 40s, rock tenor/baritenor. A self-absorbed, egotistical rock star. Charismatic and larger-than-life but ultimately flawed and narcissistic.

Vocal Range: Rock Tenor (C3 to B4). Must have a commanding, rock-star presence.

Audition Song:

• “Wanted Dead or Alive” – Sides in Drive

Lonny Barnett: SEEKING COVER

Male, late 20s to 40s, tenor. The show’s comedic narrator. Funny, charming, and slightly raunchy. Lonny needs strong comedic timing and a rock voice.

Vocal Range: Tenor (D3 to B4). Should have a versatile, rock voice for comedic and narrative moments.

Dennis Dupree:

Male, 30s to 50s, rock baritone. The laid-back, peace-loving owner of The Bourbon Room. Wise yet easygoing, he has a strong bond with Lonny.

Vocal Range: Baritone (D3 to G4). Needs soulful and smooth rock tones.

Waitress #1:

Female, 20s to 40s, strong rock belt (mezzo-soprano) and athletic dancer. A bold, high-energy server at The Bourbon Room who is brassy, confident, flirtatious, and fully at home in the chaos of the 80s rock scene. Must be a powerhouse singer with a sustained rock belt (approximately A3–D5+) and the stamina to maintain vocal strength while executing demanding commercial jazz choreography. Should move effortlessly in heels, blend in tight, high-energy ensemble numbers, and bring fearless physicality, strong comedic instincts, and commanding stage presence.

Male Ensemble:

Male, 20s to 30s, strong rock tenor or bari-tenor. High-energy performers who fully embody the 80s Sunset Strip aesthetic. Must be strong singers and athletic dancers with excellent stamina, able to maintain powerful rock vocals while executing demanding commercial jazz choreography. Confident stage presence, strong harmony skills, and versatility are essential. Must be capable of covering principal roles (Drew, Lonny, Franz, Stacee Jaxx, Dennis) and step into featured moments as needed.
