DESCRIPTION

Looking for strong theatrical stitchers who are confident in their abilities to aid in costume fittings and alterations during our seasonal periods of new cast Installations. Days worked are extremely flexible during our install periods, ability to build your own schedule.

This work takes place throughout the year in our rehearsal studio, located in Orlando, Florida.

SKILLSET REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a strong stitcher: Comfortable with using home sewing machines and sergers.

• Should be available at fittings to take notes and assist with pinning garments.

• Able to take direction.

• Able to autonomously continue on alterations with minimal or written instructions.

• Ability to take apart intricate garments and put them back together

• Ability to build from existing pattern is a plus

• Air-conditioned, well-lit work space, machines, and all materials will be provided.

AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Part time availability Monday through Friday, some work on weekends may be available.

• Shifts typically range from 9am-5pm with an hour lunch. Some flexibility to work earlier or later if needed. Applicants with specific daily availability are encouraged to apply as well as those with more flexible schedules.

RATES & PAYMENT

• The starting rate for this position is $200 for an 8hr day.

• Stitchers will submit monthly invoices for days worked and will be paid via Direct Deposit, only. All payment happens in arrears (once the work is completed) on NET30 fulfillment terms.

• A 1099 with all payments made to you will be provided
