Seeking six strong, character-driven singer/actors for the NYC debut of
STARSEEDS: A MUSICAL by Hannah B. Roohi
(March–August 2026, multiple venues)

Seeking performers with lyrical, singer-songwriter–type vocals, strong movement ability, and sharp comedic timing. Must be dynamic storytellers with grounded stage presence.

This is an ensemble-driven, vocally demanding production with substantial featured material for each role. We are assembling a dedicated company for continued development and performances across NYC through Summer 2026.

Rehearsals begin late March 2026.
Debut performance: April 27, 2026 (evening show at Caveat).

All roles are open to performers of all genders, races, ethnicities, body types, and ages 18+. We are committed to building a diverse and collaborative company.

Character Breakdown
(ages 18+)

PLAYER 1 – The Creature
Grounded, magnetic presence with emotional depth. Carries intimate, lyrical material that builds in intensity. Must command attention through stillness and control. Excellent vocal nuance required.

PLAYER 2 – The Damsel
Precise, intelligent performer with strong comedic instincts and psychological subtlety. Plays composure layered over complexity. Strong storytelling vocalist with clarity and restraint.

PLAYER 3 – The Archer
Earnest and sincere. Strong dramatic actor who sustains belief without melodrama. Clear, confident singer. Anchors pivotal emotional moments.

PLAYER 4 – The Witch
Physically expressive performer with strong movement ability. Requires rhythmic precision, stamina, and focused intensity. Comfortable with heightened material.

PLAYER 5 – The Strongwoman
Charismatic and emotionally open with dynamic stage presence. Strong belt or mix welcome. Must combine warmth, humor, and strength while remaining grounded.

PLAYER 6 – The Twin
Highly precise performer with strong physical coordination and comedic timing. Performs alongside a puppet counterpart; requires vocal differentiation, sustained focus, and controlled physical detail.

PLAYER 7 / PLAYER 8 – The Janitor / The Narrator
One performer plays both roles. Controlled, observant presence with vocal authority. Minimal but intentional movement. Must deliver text with clarity, subtle tonal shifts, and sustained stillness.
