SEEKING:

ANGELA – Female-presenting, mid-thirties. Texas housewife with a great sense of humor, fiercely independent, identifies with “Roseanne,” an earth-mother comedienne. She loves her kids more than anything and is tired of being underappreciated by her husband. Southern Dialect. She sings “Stand by Your Man,” “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’,” “Harper Valley PTA,” and others.

DARLENE – Female-presenting, late-teens-to-early-twenties. Grew up in a mining town in West Virginia and the Mississippi Delta. She is sweet, simple, and pretty, She loves her father deeply, but knows that she needs to leave him to realize her dreams. She reminisces on the loss of her past love. Darlene plays simple guitar and may do some clogging. Appalachian/Southern Dialect. She sings “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “Help Me Make it Through the Night,” “Angels Among Us,” and others.

SUE ELLEN – Female-presenting, mid-thirties. Originally a Texas pageant girl who has now “citified” herself into a Los Angeles career woman, She is smart, very attractive, and comfortable with her sexiness… but always frustrated, sick of her creepy boss, her ex-husbands, and her mother’s opinions. Southern Dialect. She is the best dancer of the three and may do some clogging, roller skating, and baton twirling. She sings “9 to 5,” “These Boots Are Made for Walking,” “Cornell Crawford,” and others.

Previews – June 24 and 25, 2026

Show opens – June 26, 2026

SEEKING:

LIZ – Female-presenting, mid-thirties or older. No nonsense, loves making lists. She is hurt and a bit lost after her divorce and wants to close herself off from the world. She isn’t a dog person and definitely doesn’t have room in her life to take care of anybody other than herself – at first.

DOG (later called “Foster”)– Female-presenting, mid-thirties or older. She is a senior Golden Retriever who still has lots of energy. Loves the world around her, loves when wind smells like pizza, and loves LIZ with all of her heart. Found a stick. It is a very good stick.

NELL – Female-presenting, older than LIZ. Not familiar with the concept of boundaries. She has (human) adult children whom she raised on her own after her wife left and who are currently not speaking to her. She yearns for a supportive “wolf pack” and loves RUBEN for all his slobber and barking. Doubles as THE EX’S DOG, a shy bulldog named Maisie.

RUBEN – Male-presenting, close in age to LIZ. A big, loud, sweetie pie of a dog. He loves NELL and his new friends in the apartment over and would do anything to protect them, is happy to show DOG the lay of the land. Doubles as Clay, THE EX.

SWING – Male-presenting, forties or older. Doubles as:

SHELTER WORKER – Guilts LIZ into taking DOG home.

LADY JOGGER – Encounters LIZ and DOG out in the world.

MALE PASSERBY – A man on the street, disapproves of LIZ’S dog-parenting.

JAMIE – LIZ’S gossipy and obnoxious friend, digs into her business about the divorce.

DOG PARK GOER – Grande dame of the dog park.

VAN MAN – A dog-hoarder who tries to take DOG away from LIZ to a farm upstate. Messes with the wrong wolf pack.

VET – Treats DOG and gives LIZ advice on taking care of her.

BOEING-BOEING

Director: Kate Alexander

Rehearsals begin – June 30, 2026

Previews – July 22 and 23, 2026

Show opens – July 24, 2026

Show closes – August 23, 2026

SEEKING:

BERNARD – Male-presenting, 30s-40s. Bachelor residing in Paris and “ladies man” who thinks that he’s got it all figured out. He’s a charming, attractive scoundrel who is proud (too proud) of his systematic deception. Hilariously loses his cool in an attempt to avoid the consequences he very much has coming to him as his plan begins to unravel and backfire spectacularly. French or British (RP) accent.

ROBERT – Male-presenting, 30s-40s. Old friend of BERNARD visiting Paris on business. He is interested in finding a wife and settling down, but lacks the same suave confidence that his friend possesses. Admires BERNARD’S ability to keep things so delicately organized, but becomes anxious as he is drawn into the game and must keep things in order for his own sanity’s sake. French or British (RP) accent.

BERTHA – Female-presenting, older than BERNARD. BERNARD’S maid, meticulous and dutiful making her a key part of the charade, dry and openly disapproving of the game that her employer plays, does not appreciate the work that is created by the everchanging woman of the house as she grows more exasperated and exhausted. French or British (Cockney) accent.

GLORIA – Female-presenting, 20s-30s. BERNARD’S American fiancée, an air hostess for TWA, she has a large appetite for love and food (much to BERTHA’S chagrin), she is a confident go-getter, strong-willed, playful, and not afraid to speak her mind, very progressive for the era and often offended when others don’t share her views. American accent.

GABRIELLA – Female-presenting, 20s-30s. BERNARD’S Italian fiancée, an air hostess for Alitalia, she is sassy, seductive, passionate, smart, and much more independent than she originally comes across. Italian accent.

GRETCHEN – Female-presenting, 20s-30s. BERNARD’S German fiancée, an air hostess for Lusthansa, she is full of passion that can oscillate between demure and sensitive to loud and dominating on a dime, strong, very loving, can be intimidating but is also lovable. German accent.
