Macy's Studios is seeking NYC-based performers, puppeteer and stage managers to bring to life our Easter 2026 Initiative.

Macy's Studios is thrilled to debut a brand-new, strolling character experience, featuring the new "Macy's Easter Bunny" and their "Carrot Farmer" friend.

Using a unique blend of puppetry, live performers, state of the art design, and a little Macy's magic, the Macy's Easter Bunny will "surprise and delight" our guests in a flexible and organic way throughout the store. No longer confined to a bench, guests of all ages will be drawn in by both the unexpected model and technical complexities, and the approachable and endearing character design.

We’re looking for applicants with:

• Warm, engaging personalities; confident, outgoing and theatrical people that love to hold a room.
• A love of whimsy and play.
• Comfortability performing/working in front of crowds large and small, as well as VIPs and executive staff.
• Extensive experience in musical theatre, theme parks & cruise ships.
• A knock for improvisation, “spieling” and excitement to navigate the stage of an operating and loud retail store.

CARROT FARMER (Face Performer) - Male Presenting ($22/hour):

• The friendly, scrappy Carrot Farmer has their hands full as they accompany their Bunny Friend to explore Macy's Herald Square for the very first time to make a very special delivery. They serve as a great foil to the shiny floors of Macy's, as they marvel at the hubbub of the big city while keeping the adorable Bunny in line!
• Operationally, they serve as their mouthpiece, automatic in-universe scene partner, more approachable bridge between the guest and the character. It's a play off the timeless visual storytelling of family friendly adventuring duos (one big, one small) that travel as a pack.

EASTER BUNNY (Puppeteer & Voice Performer), $28/hour

• Inquisitive, playful and mischievous, the Bunny is drawn to the vibrant color of the world around them! Delighted to meet and explore all of its new people and surroundings, you never know where the cuddly, sweet and silly BUNNY might hop up next.

Stage Manager ($23/hour)

• The ideal Stage Manager is an organized, detail-oriented and solution driven person that enjoys being in a highly collaborative, high guest-facing role. This role serves as the liaison between the performers, Macy's Studios and the store to ensure a smooth operation with minimal downtime. Flexible and ready to pivot, we're seeking someone who has a desire to thrive in high-stakes environments.
