SEEKING

Equity actors for role of MAKS in IRONBOUND. MAKS: 25-30s: White: Eastern European: Male. ROLE REQUIRES POLISH ACCENT, SINGING, and PLAYING HARMONICA IS A PLUS, but not required. Darja’s Husband. Maks is a polish immigrant who has recently arrived in America. He comes from nothing but is determined to become something. A factory worker in New Jersey, he plays the harmonica and sings the blues, dreaming of becoming a blues Musician in Chicago. He is all heart and hope, with little regard for practical realities-Maks has big ambitions, no financial footing, and a stubborn dedication to possibility. Despite the height and heat of young love, questions about their future begin to surface.
