DESCRIPTION

We are seeking 12 Actors for the World Premiere production of “Pandimia: Act of Gods” by Jason Abrams that will premiere at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City, taking place from June 15th to July 26th, 2026. This is a play with LGBTQIA+ characters, and we heavily encourage all members of those communities to apply for any role. Role descriptions include:

JOSH: A 40-year-old gay male professional.

TED: A 42-year-old straight male executive of a philanthropic organization who is married to KAREN.

KAREN: A 37-year-old straight female professional married to TED.

MATT: A 39-year-old gay male professional (former boyfriend and current roommate of JOSH).

DR. ENGELMAN: JOSH's psychotherapist.

JULIA: Friend of KAREN. 42-year-old African-American lesbian professional.

DONALD TRUMP: 45th president of the United States.

OTHER ROLES: There are many one scene characters in this play, and actors in the company will more than likely be playing multiple roles. We ask that versatile actors with good playful energy apply that can bring life to these characters. Some actors will also be asked to understudy for the main 4 roles just in case.

Applicants will be/have:

- Enthusiastic and hardworking.

- Bring a positive, collaborative attitude to the production.

- An available, flexible schedule for late May-July 2026 depending on dates assigned by the festival.

- Be available for an in person callback in early March (This is flexible depending on the situation, but in person is preferred).

Stipend Pay: This is a festival production and thus the funds are limited, but a one time stipend of $300 for all cast members will be given for their work.

Materials Needed:

Please apply with a recorded (comedic preferred) monologue with a cutoff of 1 minute, your resume and headshot, and a brief description of what your favorite comedic piece of art is! This can be a play, movie, tv show, something to just get to know you by.
