Arts Ignite is seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to serve as the senior leader of the organization’s Programs Department. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for planning, overseeing, and managing all program operations, ensuring the delivery of high-impact, mission-aligned arts education experiences across New York City and in communities around the world.
The Program Manager holds day-to-day ownership of program planning, implementation, evaluation, and team leadership, overseeing Teaching Artists, Program Facilitators, Associates, and interns. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong systems that support people, partners, and programs, while ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Arts Ignite’s values: Creative Capacity, Community, and Courage.
In addition to internal program leadership, the Program Manager serves as a key external-facing representative of Arts Ignite, managing partner relationships, supporting professional development initiatives, contributing to fundraising and impact storytelling, and collaborating closely with senior leadership on organizational strategy and growth.
This position requires a seasoned nonprofit or education professional who can lead with clarity, manage complexity, and translate vision into action. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in program management, team leadership, and culturally responsive arts education, and is excited to steward a growing and values-driven Programs Department.

This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position based in New York City, with a hybrid schedule that includes in-office, on-site programming, and remote work.
