DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Production Stage Manager for an engagement in downtown Chicago beginning May 21 2026 through August 24 2026 with possible extension. 8-10 performances per week.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Calling each performance (Cues for LX, Video, Audio, Auto, Fly, SFX, Props) - this is a cue heavy show with many fast paced sequences
• Creating/Updating the calling script through the rehearsal period and show development
• Collating notes from producers, creatives, cast & crew
• Show report following each performance & ensuring previous notes are implemented
• Scheduling rehearsal and maintenance calls as needed and distributing call sheets
• Liaising with the house to facilitate house holds, ASL performances etc
• Work with the Technical Manager to oversee the production install and load out
• Lead production meetings as required

Requirements:

▪ A working knowledge of all aspects of the theatre, both technical and performance

▪ Excellent communication skills in all mediums

▪ Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills

▪ Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of performers, crew and vendors

▪ A strong knowledge of QLAB would be an advantage.

Applicants should have 5 years of experience in this position, with preference given to those who have worked in technical/high production shows.

Applicants should be Chicago based or able to reside in Chicago self-sufficiently as accommodation is not provided.
