Get an inside look at the star-studded opening night of Broadway's Death of a Salesman, with the video above. The production officially opened April 9 at the Winter Garden Theatre after beginning previews March 6. Joe Mantello is at the helm of the production, set to continue through August 9.

After the cast, led by Tony winners Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf, took their opening night bows, the company headed downtown for an afterparty at the famed downtown deli Katz’s Delicatessen.

Attendees included Neil Patrick Harris, Kelly Ripa, Kiernan Shipka, John Slattery, Dan Levy, Ethan Coen, and more. The partygoers toasted the production, which received positive reviews, with made-to order pastrami sandwiches.

"I'm very full, both literally and poetically," joked Ben Ahlers, who stars as Happy Loman. "This group has really fallen in love with each other, it's really a treat to be able to share that with people every night...We really have a great time together, and that really helps us tell a very sad, important, and tragic story."

The cast also includes Christopher Abbott as Biff Loman, Ben Ahlers as Happy Loman, K. Todd Freeman as Charley, Jonathan Cake as Uncle Ben, John Drea as Howard Wagner, Michael Benjamin Washington as Bernard, Tasha Lawrence as The Woman, Jake Silbermann as Stanley, Joaquin Consuelos as Young Biff, Jake Termine as Young Happy, Karl Green as Young Bernard, Katherine Romans as Miss Forsythe, and Mary Neely as Letta. Understudies Jack Falahee, Aidan Cazeau, Charlie Niccolini, Alexis Bronkovic, Erik Kilpatrick, and Brendan Donaldson round out the company. Casting is by Taylor Williams.

The staging features movement direction by Sasha Milavic Davies, music by Caroline Shaw, scenic design by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Rudy Mance, lighting design by Jack Knowles, sound design by Mikaal Sulaiman, and hair and wig design by Robert Pickens. Charles Means is the production stage manager, and Lily Dyble serves as associate director.

Scott Rudin and Barry Diller are producing, the duo's sophomore outing after Rudin's controversial return to the industry following allegations of abusive treatment to subordinates. Roy Furman is also producing.

The work, which explores the dark realities of the so-called "American Dream" for the middle class of the mid-century, premiered on Broadway in 1949, winning the Pulitzer and Tony and becoming a near instant stage classic. The play has since been revived on Broadway five times with various stars taking on the ill-fated Willy Loman, including George C. Scott, Dustin Hoffman, Brian Dennehy, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Wendell Pierce.
