About “HUMAN”
Written and Directed by Nehprii Amenii, a multigenerational stage play blending puppetry, original music, movement, myth and ancestral memory. Set in a post-apocalyptic oceanic world, the story follows a being named Nacci who proposes reviving humanity with the help of an octopus willing to donate one of his three hearts. The production explores themes of ancestral memory, restoration, and what it truly means to be human. Now entering its final development phase, "HUMAN" is preparing for a national tour as part of the National Performance Network’s Creation and Development Fund.
