The Roundabout Theatre Company seeks a skilled, experienced and customer service focused Head Treasurer. This individual will manage the box office for The Todd Haimes Theatre, Roundabout’s flagship home on Broadway. This is a union position covered by the Treasurers and Ticket Sellers Union, Local 751 IATSE. The Head Treasurer reports to the Director of Cultural Engagement, Audience Strategies.

This is some of what the Head Treasurer will do:

• Ensure the box office runs efficiently and meets sales goals, while providing excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Collaborate with general and company management, house management, Marketing, Audience Services, and Development departments within Roundabout as well commercial producers and outside general management offices.
• Prepare and distribute box office statements, house seat, comp and other financial reports.
• Prepare and account for cash and check deposits.
• Manage ticket inventory through holds, allocations and price zones in Tessitura.
• Oversee the processing of group sales, house seat orders, Tony voter orders and sales through outside vendors.
• Communicate with authorized outside ticket sellers, such as TDF, TKTS and Today Tix regarding sales allocations, payment reconciliation and customer service issues.
• Manage staff of 3-4 and prepare weekly schedules and payroll.
• Stay up to date on all ticketing policies and procedures and maintain training for staff.

This is some of what the Head Treasurer should bring:

• At least 5 years of experience in a box office or ticketing industry and staff management
• Proficiency in ticketing software, Tessitura preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others in a small space, as well as with other departments
• A genuine interest in and knowledge of the performing arts
• Ability to work 40 hours a week, 5/6 days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Head Treasurer position is a full-time, on-site position at the Todd Haimes Theatre, 227 West 42nd Street, New York, NY.

Salary is $1960.81/week plus benefits, in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Roundabout Theatre Company and IATSE Local 751. If candidate is not a current Local 751 IATSE member, application for membership required.
