DESCRIPTION

HEAD CARPENTER

a. Assist with the proper construction, fabrication, installation, rigging and strike of all scenic elements

b. Oversees maintenance and repair of tools and equipment

c. Assist with the maintenance of facilities and all storage spaces, both on and off campus

d. Ensure proper workflow of the shop, act as a lead carpenter

e. Assist with keeping the scene shop on schedule to ensure on time builds

f. Attend rehearsals, calls, and/or meetings as required

g. Oversee safety of those working in scene shop, mentoring interns in all departments and individuals of varying levels of skill

h. Daily cleaning and organization of work areas

i. Oversee and supervise venue maintenance

j. Provide support for special events and company projects as needed

k. Other duties as directed by Production Management

SALARY

$700.00 – $725.00 per week
