1. Overview
FEEL ALL YOUR FEELINGS
This project is a series of filmed emotional portraits exploring what happens when a person is given permission to fully feel.
While many productions ask actors to portray emotion through character and performance, this project approaches emotion differently. The intention is not to perform a role, but to create space for authentic emotional presence.
Each piece features one individual on camera in a minimal, observational setting. The camera remains still. The environment is quiet. There is no dialogue to memorize and no scene partner.
The work lives somewhere between film, documentary portrait, and installation art.
Participants will be invited to sit with and explore one of five emotional states often referenced in the work of the Conscious Leadership Group:
Anger
Fear
Sadness
Joy
Creative / Sexual Aliveness (life energy)
These emotions are not treated as dramatic beats or character moments, but as energetic states that exist in all human beings.
The project is less about acting and more about presence - what naturally arises when someone allows themselves to feel.
The hope is that this can be a unique opportunity to explore emotional experience outside of character and performance.
The final pieces are designed to feel intimate, honest, and powerful - closer to a portrait than a traditional commercial.
2. What to Prepare
You will record two short segments as described below.
Segment 1 - Introduction (60–90 seconds)
Look directly into the camera and tell us:
Your full name, where you are from, and where you currently live
Your age and current occupation
One interesting or unexpected fact about yourself
★ Keep it conversational.
Segment 2 – OPTION 1
Emotional Presence Exercise
Choose one emotion from the list below:
Anger
Fear
Sadness
Joy
Creative / Sexual Aliveness (life energy)
Sit comfortably and look directly into the camera.
First, take 10–15 seconds of silence before speaking.
Just breathe and allow yourself to settle.
Then answer this question:
“What does this emotion feel like in your body?”
You may speak for about 45-60 seconds.
When you finish, remain in silence again for another 10-15 seconds before the tape ends.
There is no need to perform or demonstrate the emotion.
We are simply interested in what happens when someone gives themselves space to notice it.

You may share this for about 45-60 seconds.
When you finish, remain in silence again for another 10-15 seconds before the tape ends.
3. Technical Requirements
Camera & Framing
•Frame yourself from the chest or waist up - do not film head-to-toe unless specifically
instructed
•Use a smartphone, tablet, or camera. Laptop webcams are acceptable only if image quality is
clear
•Film in LANDSCAPE (horizontal) orientation only. Vertical videos will not be accepted
•Look directly into the lens, not at your own image on screen
•Place your device on a stable surface — do not hold the camera while filming
Lighting
•Film in a well-lit space. Natural light from a window in front of you is ideal
•Avoid filming with a bright window or light source behind you - this creates silhouette
•Avoid harsh overhead lighting, which creates unflattering shadows
•Choose a clean, uncluttered background - a plain wall, neutral backdrop, or tidy room
•Avoid busy patterns, distracting posters, or messy spaces
•Virtual backgrounds are NOT permitted
Audio
•Record in a quiet space with no background noise, music, fans, or echo
•Speak clearly and at a natural volume - do not whisper or shout
•If using a separate microphone, ensure it is not visible on camera
★ Poor audio is the number one reason self-tapes are not advanced. Do a sound check before recording.
File Format
•Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, or M4V
•Minimum resolution: 1080p (1920 x 1080) preferred. 720p minimum
otherwise
4. On-Camera Presentation
You do not need to dress up, but do present yourself as you would on a normal day when you want to look your best. Avoid:
•Busy or heavily patterned clothing (stripes and small checks can flicker on camera)
•Clothing that matches your background color
•Excessive jewelry or accessories that make noise when you move
5. Submitting Your Tape
Once all three segments are recorded, submit as follows:
1. Label each file using this format: LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_Segment1.mp4
2. Email all files to: [email protected]
3. Subject line: SELF-TAPE — [YOUR FULL NAME]
4. Include your completed application form and a recent photo (if not previously submitted)
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a teleprompter or read from notes?
No. This is an unscripted project. We want to see how you think and communicate naturally. Reading from notes will disqualify your submission.
Should I re-record if I make a mistake?
Minor stumbles are fine and often feel more genuine. Only re-record if you feel a segment does not represent you well. Do not over-produce your tape.
What happens after I submit?
All tapes are reviewed by our casting team. Due to the volume of submissions, we are only able to contact candidates selected for the next round. If you have not heard back within 1 week, your tape was not selected for this round. We appreciate your time and interest.
Is this tape used for any other purpose?
Your self-tape is used solely for internal casting review. It will not be broadcast or shared publicly without your written consent.
Good luck — we look forward to meeting you.
