Elmwood Day Camp is hiring a creative, enthusiastic Drama Specialist to lead our theater program for campers ages 3–12 during Summer 2026.
Our drama program is about more than memorizing lines. It’s about confidence. Connection. Courage. It’s about giving children the space to take risks, try something new, and feel proud of themselves.
What You’ll Do:

Lead drama classes that build acting skills through games, improvisation, and scene work

Direct age-appropriate performances and showcases

Help campers develop stage presence, teamwork, and creative expression

Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels seen and celebrated

Collaborate with our dance and music team for special productions
Who You Are:

A theater professional, educator, or experienced performer

Comfortable directing children of varying ages and abilities
-
Patient, playful, and confident leading a room
-
Passionate about helping kids grow on and off the stage
This is a seasonal summer position (late June–August) in Westchester County, NY.
Elmwood Day Camp is a small, warm community where children are truly known. Our performing arts program is vibrant, joyful, and deeply valued — and we’re looking for someone who wants to build something meaningful.
