Are you the kind of person who starts choreographing when a song comes on?
Do you believe movement builds confidence just as much as technique?
Elmwood Day Camp is seeking a passionate, energetic Dance Specialist to lead our dance program for campers ages 3–12 during Summer 2026.
At Elmwood, we believe camp is a place where children discover who they are — and dance is one of the most powerful ways they express it.
What You’ll Do:

Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for multiple age groups

Introduce campers to a variety of styles (hip hop, jazz, creative movement, musical theater — we love it all!)

Choreograph routines for end-of-summer performances and special events

Create a joyful, inclusive space where every child feels confident stepping into the spotlight

Collaborate with our performing arts team to bring energy and creativity to camp-wide programs
Who You Are:

A dancer, choreographer, or dance educator with experience working with children

Comfortable adapting choreography for beginners through more advanced movers

High-energy, positive, and encouraging
-
Organized and excited to build something special
This is a seasonal summer position (late June–August) in Westchester County, NY.
