CONTRACT COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE
The national labor union, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), seeks a Contract Compliance Associate to join our dynamic Contract Affairs Department.
The Contract Compliance Associate is a member of the Contract Affairs Department and reports directly to the Director of Contract Affairs. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that employers comply with the financial and reporting obligations of SDC’s collective bargaining agreements and Members file the applicable SDC contracts when working outside of collectively bargained jurisdictions.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of the entertainment industry, theatrical unions, and related issues required; excellent written, communication, and analytical skills; experience building and maintain databases; proven ability to work closely with a team and effectively manage individual workload; ability to prioritize urgent matters while multitasking other projects; ability to think strategically and exercise a high level of judgment; willingness to participate in all union wide activities; computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on Excel.
Responsibilities:
• track and process employment reporting and corresponding assessment payments
• monitor employer arrears and interface with employers to implement collections
• maintain various Contract Affairs and Finance databases
• support collective bargaining negotiations
• monitor industry news to identify projects for which SDC Members are engaged
• complete employer or jurisdiction research projects as needed
• manage the departmental inbox
• develop and maintain strategic relationships with Members, employers, and key industry professionals
• participate in the development and execution of all department wide goals and objectives
• participate in community, political, and union events
The salary range is $65,000-$70,000. SDC also offers excellent benefits to include comprehensive health/life insurance, retirement programs (defined benefit pension as well as 401k), paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation.
