True Colors Theatre Company celebrates the rich tradition of Black storytelling while giving voice to bold artists of all cultures and backgrounds. PREPARATION

Please prepare a book and music side for the character for which you’d like to be considered. Audition materials (book and music sides) from the show will be provided upon confirmation of audition appointment. An accompanist will be provided. Please also bring a 1980’s pop, R&B, and/or soul, or style to your audition. Please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

This production of Cinderella is reimagined as a 1980s-inspired celebration of the era’s bold style, iconic sound, and vibrant spirit. Casting will align with this creative vision, and appropriate artists of all backgrounds who connect with this concept are encouraged to submit.

SEEKING:

CINDERELLA (ELLA) | Kind-hearted, resilient, hopeful. Character Age: 20s-30s. Character Gender Identity: Female. Vocal Range: Soprano / Mezzo

PRINCE CHRISTOPHER (TOPHER) | Charming, lonely, searching for genuine connection. Character Age: 20s–30s. Character Gender Identity: Male. Vocal Range: Tenor / Baritone

QUEEN CONSTANTINA | Glamorous, loving, determined and wants her son to find his bride. Character Age: 40s–60s. Character Gender Identity: Female. Vocal Range: Mezzo Soprano / Alto

KING MAXIMILLIAN | Devoted husband and father who is always trying to please his wife and make sure his son is happy. Played Age: 40s–60s. Character Gender Identity: Male. Vocal Range: Baritone
