CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

· Christopher Robin (Alto, Tenor, or Countertenor) - a young boy who loves playing with his stuffed bear; Winnie The Pooh. Going away to school soon and is excited for that, but anxious about leaving his childhood behind. Has a sense of excitement for adventure about them. Child Actor.

· Winnie The Pooh (Tenor) - a simple-minded, sweet, and caring stuffed bear who follows Christopher Robin’s lead, processing the fact that he will be leaving soon. Big, round, teddy bear quality. Happy, giggly, without much care in the world.

· Narrator (Non Singing) - the narrator sitting on the side of the stage with a book titled Christopher Robin and Pooh. His purpose is to give the audience context to what is going on in the scene before each song starts.

· Tigger (Baritenor) - a hyperactive and joyful tiger who loves bouncing around, often overwhelming others with his energy. Lots of energy, goofy, and loveable. Strong jazz dancer who can get some good height.

· Piglet (Mezzo) - a small, nervous pig who finds comfort with his friends, especially Pooh. Sweet and soft spoken. Able to go back and forth between anxious and confident rather quickly.

· Kanga (Mezzo-Soprano) - a protective yet encouraging mother who nurtures everyone in the forest. Will do anything for her son; Roo. Motherly to the Nth degree. Rigid but never too strict or stern.

· Roo (Soprano) - an energetic baby kangaroo who forms a strong bond with Tigger, often has a hard time understanding social cues. Neurodivergent. More energy than Tigger. Child Actor.

· Eeyore (Bass or Alto) - a gloomy donkey who secretly enjoys his sadness, forgives easily, and is surprisingly a skilled tap dancer. Able to convey a sense of joy even when down and depressed.

· Rabbit (Baritenor) - a neurotic and picky leader in the forest, but very loyal regardless. Flamboyant, sassy, and easily irritable.

· Owl (Tenor) - a wise yet rambling owl seen as a guru by others, who overestimates his intelligence but genuinely cares for his friends. Tall, Campy British Accent, Monty Python vibes (John Cleese or Eric Idle), big stage presence.
