Job Details

DESCRIPTION

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Artistic Director to lead our member-driven ensemble. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for theater and its creators, and possess a strong commitment to the developmental process. You will be responsible for synthesizing a cohesive artistic vision that reflects the collective pulse of our diverse membership - leading with confidence and flexibility a group of passionate artists with decades of shared history. The position coordinates with an Associate Artistic Director and a Leadership Committee drawn from membership to share responsibilities and contribute to major artistic decisions.

LAByrinth Theater Company is at a pivotal moment where we must balance two important aims. The next Artistic Director will be tasked with navigating this delicate balance, ensuring that our company continues to thrive both as a bastion of artistic excellence and as a unique, inclusive, community. You will lead the charge in elevating our reputation for rigor, innovation, and artistic excellence, ensuring that the creative voices within our company continue to grow.
