DESCRIPTION

STORYLINE: Sisters Kira and Paige have always had a strained relationship. Kira makes the messes and Paige (almost too willingly) cleans them up. When Paige’s 15 year old daughter, Ava, ends up in the ER with alcohol poisoning, the two sisters are thrown into a long-overdue confrontation.

PREPARATION- Please prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monologue of your choosing.

SEEKING:

KIRA- 22 to 28 years old; all ethnicities; female- identifying. On leave at grad school. Incorrigible, Unreliable, Charming, a "smart aleck", and non functioning alcoholic.

PAIGE- 35 to 45 years old, all ethnicities; female- identifying. Head of a highly successful Montessori school. Organized, rigid, strategic, and controlling.

ZACH- 35 to 45 years old, all ethnicities: male identifying. An accountant. Quiet, type B, seems to be an observer in his own life.

The schedule will be highly dependent on the actors and their needs. Other than the tech and performances, we can be flexible.

This play is part of the Audacious Owl Theatre Festival.

The festival will take place in the Factory Series at the Chain Theatre, 312 W. 36th Street, 3rd Floor

MANDATORY TECH REHEARSAL: June 15th, 2pm-6pm

PERFORMANCES: June 16th @7pm and June 20th @2pm

This production is unpaid and can only support NON-UNION actors*
