Off-Broadway News York Theatre Company's Musicals in Mufti Series Will Offer 3 Alan Jay Lerner Musicals The series will return January 26, 2019, with Carmelina.
To mark the centennial of Alan Jay Lerner, The York Theatre Company will celebrate the work of the late librettist and lyricist in its Musicals in Mufti series. Lerner was one of the creators behind such classics as Brigadoon, Camelot, Love Life, and My Fair Lady.

The 2019 Winter Musicals in Mufti will feature Carmelina (January 26–February 3, 2019), Dance a Little Closer (February 9–17), and Lolita, My Love (February 23–March 3).

These musicals will be performed in a simply-staged, book-in-hand concert format. Casting and creative teams will be announced at a later date.


Several events will surround the Lerner celebration, including a concert of classic Lerner songs, The Songs of Alan Jay Lerner (February 25 at 7 PM) and two multimedia events presented by theatre historian Charles Troy: The Creation of My Fair Lady (February 4 at 7 PM) and The Creation of Camelot (February 6 at 7 PM).
