Stephanie Fagan's new work plays the Astoria Performing Arts Center.

Theatre East's world premiere of Stephanie Fagan's Edie Saves the Birds plays the Astoria Performing Arts Center in Long Island City April 1-23.

The cast features Alyssa Emily Marvin (School of Rock tour) as Edie, Dylan Martin Frankel (The Blacklist) as Kyle, Christa Kimlicko Jones (A Name for a Ghost to Mutter) as Diane, and Tom Green (Holy Ghosts) as Perry. Artistic Director Judson Jones directs.

In Edie Saves the Birds, 13-year-old Edie, daughter of a single mom and granddaughter of an ailing grandfather, wakes up each day singularly focused on saving the birds until she meets the popular, baseball-playing Kyle.

The production also has scenic design by Steven Brenman, lighting design by Zach Murphy, sound design by Prince Bawuah, and costume design by Sherry Martinez. The production manager is John Noel, and Julia Rae Maldonado is the production stage manager.
