The reviews are rolling in for Pulitzer finalist Rajiv Joseph's Gruesome Playground Injuries, which opened an Off-Broadway revival at the Lucille Lortel Theatre November 23. Neil Pepe is directing the limited run, set to continue through December 28.
Leading the cast are two-time Tony Award winner Kara Young and three-time Emmy Award nominee Nicholas Braun, as Kayleen and Doug, respectively.
The play centers two childhood friends whose lives have intersected at the most bizarre intervals over the course of 30 years, leading the pair to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.
