Joe White's Blackout Songs officially opened Off-Broadway January 27, and the reviews are rolling in!
The US premiere production, which is currently playing MCC Theater, began performances January 15. The play will run for six weeks at The Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater in The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space, through February 28.
Directed by Rory McGregor, the Olivier nominated play marks the American stage debut of Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, Black Rabbit) and the New York stage debut of Owen Teague (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Eileen). The work follows two people who embark on a torrid, decade-long affair after a chance encounter at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
