Screen stars Owen Teague and Abbey Lee make their New York stage debuts in the work about two lost souls who meet at Alcoholics Anonymous.

We've got an up close and personal look at the U.S. premiere of Joe White's Blackout Songs, currently playing MCC Theater Off-Broadway.

Directed by Rory McGregor, the Olivier nominated play marks the American stage debut of Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, Black Rabbit) and the New York stage debut of Owen Teague (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Eileen). Casting is by Alexandre Bleau.

The work follows two people who embark on a torrid, decade-long affair after a chance encounter at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. The production, which began performances January 15, will run for six weeks at The Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater in The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space, through February 28. Opening night is set for January 27.

The creative team includes scenic designer Scott Pask, costumer design Avery Reed, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer and composer Brian Hickey, movement consultant and intimacy coordinator Sarah Parker, assistant director Brennan Urbi, prop supervisor Matthew Frew, production manager Five OHM Productions, production stage manager Rico Froehlich, and assistant stage manager Katie Cherven.

Blackout Songs is produced by Jacob Stuckelman and Andrew Patino of Regular People, Riva Marker of Linden Productions, Marion, and Julie Cohn of The Cohn Sisters, along with Zoe Brown, Patrick Catullo & Craig Balsam, Joe Hetterly, Jennifer Kroman, Mickey Liddell & Pete Shilaimon, Ordinary Magic, and Sari Stifelman. Stuckelman serves as general manager.
