The limited original series The Artist will premiere over the Thanksgiving holiday on The Network, a free, ad-supported streaming platform and studio that launched in May 2024. As previously reported, the series marks a reunion for three-time Tony winner Patti LuPone and her Tony-winning Evita co-star, Mandy Patinkin, who are joined by Janet McTeer (Kaos, Ozark, A Doll's House) as Marian Henry, Danny Huston (Yosemite, Horizon: An American Saga) as Edgar Dégas, Hank Azaria (Brockmire, Ray Donovan) as Thomas Edison, Zachary Quinto (Cult of Love; Brilliant Minds) as Delphin Delmas, and Clark Gregg (Thelma, Painkiller) as Harry Kendall Thaw. Patinkin plays Norman Henry with LuPone as Rosie Morsch.

Also previously announced for the series are Katharine McPhee (Smash, Waitress) as Nora Bayes, Ever Anderson (Peter Pan and Wendy, Black Widow) as Evelyn Nesbit, Jill Hennessy (City on a Hill, Accused) as Nesbit's mother, and Ana Mulvoy Ten (Selah and the Spades, American Crime) as Lilith.

Created, executive-produced, written, and directed by filmmaker and founder of The Network, Aram Rappaport, the murder mystery is set in the twilight of the Gilded Age as Thomas Edison, Edgar Degas, and Evelyn Nesbit meet at the home of an eccentric and failing tycoon and his wife—an evening which ends in the tycoon's untimely demise.

Joining Rappaport as producer of this work of historical fiction is Hilary Shor (Children of Men, The Paperboy).

This is something I believe we could only have been able to greenlight at The Network. I created a platform to push the boundaries of storytelling, and now we actually get to do it!
