Abingdon Theatre Company's popular Broadway on the Bowery series will launch its new season at Duane Park with three events beginning February 21. The performances bring together two of NYC's most recognizable thoroughfares, lying a short distance apart but epitomizing the divide between uptown and downtown.
Watch the video above for a sneak peek at the first event in the series, An Evening with Teal Wicks.
Known for her performances in The Cher Show, Finding Neverland, and Wicked, the Broadway alum will offer an array of songs with a downtown twist, all performed with the Bowery Quartet under the musical direction of Nick Wilders.
An evening of music from It Happened in Key West, penned by Jill Santoriello, Jason Huza, and Jeremiah James, will follow March 7 at 7 PM featuring Wicked's Jessica Vosk and Tony nominees Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder) and Max von Essen (Anastasia). The concert will also star Wade McCollum (Wicked), Shereen Pimentel (West Side Story), Pierre Marias (Aladdin), Ilda Mason (West Side Story), Mikaela Bennett (Renascence), and Jonathan Hoover (A Chorus Line).
