Written and directed by Conor McPherson, Girl from the North Country pulls from the songbook of Bob Dylan to present a new musical at London’s Old Vic Theatre.
The show, which officially opened July 26 and runs through October 8, is set in 1930s Minnesota around Thanksgiving at a local guesthouse. In addition to the inn’s owner, Nick, who is suffering under crushing debt, the story follows his unhinged wife, his alcoholic son, his daughter, who is carrying a child no one will account for, and a guest list that includes a preacher and a boxer who could change everything.
