Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, stars of the upcoming Broadway production of Neil Simon's Plaza Suite, appeared on CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley to discuss the revival, in which they play three sets of couples all staying a night in New York City's Plaza Hotel. The play was originally scheduled to begin previews March 13, 2020 at the Hudson Theatre, but theatres shuttered just before they ever took the stage. Watch the clip above as Parker and Broderick return to the Hudson, where everything was just as they left it two years ago.
Plaza Suite begins performances anew February 25, with an opening night set for March 28.
Joining Parker and Broderick in Suite 719 of the famed hotel will be Danny Bolero, Molly Ranson, and Eric Wiegand. Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony nominee Erin Dilly will standby for Broderick and Parker, respectively, with Laurie Veldheer and Cesar J. Rosado serving as understudies. John Benjamin Hickey directs.
The production will feature set design by Tony winner John Lee Beatty, costumes by Tony winner Jane Greenwood, lighting by Tony winner Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Tony winner Scott Lehrer, and incidental music by Tony winner Marc Shaiman.
